Keep Track Of Your Incoming Toll Free Phone Calls

Competition in business can be fierce. We hear stories of rivals tying up competitor's phone lines, harassing them with fake calls and appointments. One notorious realtor made an entire day’s worth of fake appointments, away from the office, for her strongest sales competition. Then she stole all the new business that day. It can get ugly.

To ward off this type of business sabotage or harassment, use the Call Capture feature available standard with every toll free phone account from Tollfreenumber.ORG. Using Real-Time Automatic Number Identification (ANI) every single call to your 1-800 number can be identified. ANI provides a business owner with the caller’s ten-digit phone number, even if the call came from a blocked number. With this tracking feature these blocked calls can be unblocked and made available to you.

Some toll free providers charge their customers for this service—but with Tollfreenumber.ORG, basic call capture services are free with your account.

Call Capture can be invaluable if you are being harassed by a rival. Stop them from wasting your time, your assistant's time, and from attempting to thwart your business. Get a detailed list of every caller and identify your harasser.

And additionally, there are numerous marketing benefits to this distinct tracking feature. With every call to your number accounted for, you can track new leads, enact a follow up strategy, and develop charts and sales plans.

For every type of business, the Call Capture feature is an indispensable tool that can be used in a variety of ways. Get it with your Tollfreenumber.ORG account.

Are "Free" Minutes Really Free?

Be careful…..“free minutes” negotiated in a long distance phone plan can actually end up pretty expensive. You either need more than allocated—and the additional minutes can be expensive. Or you don’t use all the “free” time and you waste money. Frequently with long distance plans, it’s a “use it or lose it’ deal.

So, wouldn't it be better to just pay for services you actually use? Of course it would.

With toll free phone service from carriers like Tollfreenumber.Org, that is exactly how it works. No gimmicks. No wasted money on unused phone time. You get a call—you pay just pennies a minute. It’s that easy.

Long distance phone packages can be complicated and they can be pricey—perhaps they don’t appear so at first glance but the details of the long distance contract can prove otherwise. The devil, as they say, is always in the details. With toll free service from Tollfreenumber.ORG, all the features, information and prices are up front. You pay for exactly the features you want—and nothing more.

Relying on long distance phone service and collect calls could mean losing valuable business. Using 1-800 phone numbers are an affordable alternative.

With a toll free number, small and mid-size business owners can connect to customers nationwide. The opportunity to attract new customers is limitless because the toll free 800, 888, 877, and 866 area codes are not connected to a specific location. And toll free service is typically more affordable than long distance packages and pricey collect calls. Most importantly, customers will never have to pay to contact you.

Tollfreenumber.ORG
won’t spring any surprise fees on you the way some long distance companies do. No wasted minutes, no hefty fees if you surpass your allotment. With a toll free number, you just pay for the services you use.

Bill Quimby trys to confuse you about Toll-free numbers

Normally we don't discuss gossip but this one is really out there. Bill Quimbo, owner of the website Tollfreenumbers.com wrote a blogpost on his site today claiming that Tollfreenumber.ORG is "faking" a statistic about toll free numbers on the Tollfreenumber.ORG blog: link . What's ridiculas is that he knows that this is a nationally known and recognized statistic.

This ad-response statistic is a widely known and proven national statistic obtained through research from the BELLCORE RESEARCH AGENCY and Bill knows this.

It's sad that Bill Quimby is stooping so low as to slander his neighbors in the community so that he can garnish negative attention which he says "Works better than positive messages." What's disturbing is what was found buried deep within Quimby's website where he quotes the same statistic that he says is false?!#$#?!...

Bill Quimby's site reads:
In a study accomplished by Bellcore, paper ads that were almost identical were displayed and monitored. One group had an 800 toll-free number and the others didn’t. The toll-free number ads received six times the number of calls as did the regular long-distance listings.

As you can see, even Bill Quimby says that you have a potential of 6 times the calls by using a toll free phone number. The statistic holds to be true. Perhaps Bill Quimby doesn't know that "6 times" and 600% are the same thing. Surly Quimby can do simple math, so the only conclusion is that he is trying to confuse people and mislead them.

Try us out and you'll see for yourself.

1-800 Numbers Bring People Together.

One of the best assets of 1-800 phone numbers is that they bring together people who have similar interests and hobbies. Check toll free directories and you can find companies, websites, business people, and associations that match your needs or interests, no matter how unique or rare.

For example, check any listing of toll free phone numbers and you will find hundreds of numbers that will interest pet lovers—suppliers for particular breeds, kennels, dog breeders, associations about a specific type of cat or dog. Someone in Maryland looking for a specific breed of purebred puppy can reach breeders throughout the nation just by calling a toll free number.

Supplies, toys, food, even pet clothing for specific breeds may not be readily available at the typical pet store. But a quick check of the 1-800 directory will offer many options for suppliers nationwide who may carry the exact brand a pet owner is seeking.

Book lovers can connect with small bookstores throughout the country that carry older titles, early editions or collectible books. Finding a out-of-print novel that you loved as a child may be difficult at the large book store chains. But by contacting specialized book dealers on the toll free directory, you may find what you are looking for.

Have a basement filled with antiques or collectibles? Toll free numbers help you connect with appraisers and collectors who can give you an estimate of their worth.

If you have a business that offers specialty items or have a hobby that may be of interest to others throughout the nation, a 1-800 number can connect you to others with the same interests. To communicate with your peers, get a 1-800 number from a service provider like Tollfreenumber.ORG. With no monthly fees and low per-call charges, anyone can afford a toll free number. You will only pay for calls you receive. Post your number on websites, or chat rooms about your hobby, or in advertisements. Meet others with your shared interests without every having to leave home!

Why Toll Free Is Growing In Popularity.

Toll free phone numbers are growing in popularity every year. A 1-800 number gives companies a substantial boost in business, they give non-profits more exposure, and they increase communication between constituents and officials.

Public awareness about the benefits of providing a free phone call is steadily increasing. 1-800 numbers obtained by carriers like Tollfreenumber.ORG have never been more sought-after and here are some of the reasons why:

Affordable: Toll free service is very affordable and easy to obtain. No additional phone systems, set-ups, or any type of installations are needed. Toll free phone numbers work with your existing phones. In many cases, toll free service is much more economical than standard phone service or long distance packages.

Expands The Market: With a toll free number, there is no link to a designated geographical area. Advertising with a 1-800 number instantly gives you a limitless potential customer base.

Portability: One of the best advantages to a toll free number is called portability. This means if your business relocates, expands, or otherwise changes, you can keep your phone number. And if you are unhappy with your existing toll free provider, you can switch carriers and still retain the same number.

Image: Even for home-based businesses and upstarts, toll free numbers create an image of a large, established company. This solid image provides a sense of security for potential new customers.

Progressive: A small business can start out with a very basic, affordable toll free plan and just pay for the incoming calls they receive. As the business and the budget grow, service can be expanded to include additional features.

New Toll Free Subscribers On The Rise.

In recent months, the toll free phone service business has seen a steady increase in new subscribers. It appears to be in response to recent reports about the rapid decline of available 800 numbers, coupled with growing public awareness about the effectiveness of having a 1-800 number.

Whatever the reasons, a steady stream of requests are pouring in for toll free 800, 888, 877, and 866 numbers. But toll free providers like Tollfreenumber.ORG still have a very large selection of available numbers, so new subscribers don’t have to be concerned quite yet about finding the perfect number. Still, it is advisable to get a toll free number soon before numbers become too scarce.

In recent years, reports indicate that an average of 8,000 new toll free numbers have been assigned daily. If this number continues to increase, and the reserved 855 numbers are not released, the shortage of available numbers will eventually have a detrimental impact on new businesses.

It’s anyone’s guess when the 855 numbers will be released by the FCC—some say it could be several years. Meanwhile more than two-thirds of available numbers have been taken and millions of new numbers are being registered each year.

The popularity of the 1-800 number, introduced in the late 1960s, led the FCC to add the new pre-fixes 888 and 877 in the mid-1990s. When availability of those numbers became scarce in 2000, the 866 pre-fix was added. The stockpile is once again low while subscribers flock to obtain a 1-800 number.

So, the best advice is to make sure you contact a provider like Tollfreenumber.ORG who can offer you an ample selection of numbers—don’t settle for an inferior number by using a company that can’t meet your needs.

877 Numbers Are A Hot Commodity.

With 1-800 numbers becoming more and more difficult to obtain, many small and mid-sized business owners are gravitating toward the popular 877 numbers.

For years now, supplies of 800 numbers have been decreasing while demand is quickly growing. According to the FCC, toll free service has been firmly established as a valuable commodity for businesses. Popularity is on the rise. In fact, major companies like Exxon have opted for an 877 number (877-MY-Exxon and 877-SAFEWAY)

In the past, 800 and 888 pre-fixes have been the most popular choices of subscribers, mostly because of the lack of public awareness about the toll free area codes 877 and 866. But recently, that has all changed. The majority of the public now recognizes all four pre-fixes as toll free. And in response, business owners are quickly taking advantage of the 877 numbers.

Toll free 800 numbers were introduced in 1967. Two decades later, when the majority of the 7 million possible numbers were taken, 888 debuted. The FCC then launched 877 in 1998 and 866 in 2000. While insiders initially worried that consumers would not recognize 877 and 866 as toll free, these numbers have steadily grown in popularity and are very recognizable.

Recently, 877 has become a popular choice for small and medium-size business owners who need reliable marketing tools to increase the flow of new and repeat business and compete with bigger, sustained companies.

Toll free numbers instantly win customer confidence, lend small businesses legitimacy, and increase sales. Reports indicate that a toll free number listed in an ad can increase response by 600% and word of mouth referrals rise by 200%. With 98 percent of American adults regularly using toll free numbers, businesses securing an 800 number gain a strong competitive edge.

By dealing with an established carrier like Tollfreenumber.ORG, you will have a large selection of toll free numbers to choose from and many features and plans that will fit your individual needs.

Why You Can't Afford NOT to Have a 1-800 Number.

The economy is sinking and there is no end in sight. Consumers are pickier than ever, carefully selecting where they will spend their hard-earned money. More than ever before, businesses must thrust themselves out ahead of their competitors, use every device in their marketing toolbox.

Any business without a toll free vanity phone number is at a distinct disadvantage. There are many benefits to a good vanity number—a word or phrase instead of a string of random numbers-and by not using one, businesses are losing steam in the competitive race.

A toll free vanity number will increase response rates—ads with vanity numbers can generate as much as a 600% increase in responses. Vanity numbers are just simply easier to recall—in fact, studies show they are 14 times easier to remember.

Without a vanity number, you could lose customers wary of the legitimacy of your company. A 1-800 number creates the image of an established, credible business.

Because vanity numbers are memorable, word of mouth referrals increase drastically—as much as 200%--and the percentage of return customers is higher.

Vanity 1-800 numbers enhance customer service—any time you offer your existing customers and potential customers the opportunity to speak to a company representative for free, you have instantly improved customer relations. And customer feedback will help you to zero in on any deficiencies and quickly fix problems.

Getting a toll-free number from Tollfreenumber.ORG is affordable and easy. The investment in a 1-800 number will drastically increase your revenue. Vanity numbers have a significant impact on business and in this economy, you cant afford NOT to have one.

VoIP in 2008? No Better.

The use of VoIP technology has been the subject of much discussion in the past couple of years. Still, here we are in 2008 and the problems associated with VoIP don’t appear to have been solved. More specifically, sound clarity and quality, reliability, and interoperability standards are still issues for VoIP users.

VoIP was once predicted to be the upcoming premier telephone service. Some speculated that calls made over the Internet would have the best clarity and be the most reliable. But so far, this just isn’t the case. VoIP service is no better in 2008 than it was in 2007.

One of the main problems is that the Internet wasn’t designed to transmit voice data. The result has been delays, audible static build up and plenty of dropped calls. In some cases, callers can’t even make a VoIP connection at all. Even the FCC has reported on the problems with VoIP.

These substandard calls can be annoying and frustrating for customers and ultimately bad for businesses that use VoIP systems for their toll free phone service. A customer calling to check out a new business or discuss shipping options may decide not to tolerate these disruptions during a conversation and move onto to deal with a competitor.

Fiber optic technology eliminates these problems. As the use of toll free phone service expands, the popularity of fiber optics is also growing. In fact, many subscribers are now demanding fiber optics over VoIP. You should too. Deal with a service provider that exclusively uses fiber optic technology.

Simply put, fiber optics used for telecommunications is generally considered more reliable than VoIP, particularly for long distance calls, and has fewer interruptions and clearer connections.

Staying In Control Of Your 1-800 Number.

There are two main ways to stay in control of your 1-800 phone number and make it work for you. Ownership of the phone number and choosing the right customized number.

First, deal with a carrier that allows for full ownership of your number. Once you own your number, it will follow you if your company moves or expands. If a company in Maryland moves to Oregon, the same number will be associated with the business. No changing phone numbers: no risking a substantial loss of your customer base.

With leased numbers, there is always the risk that you could lose the number if you relocate or change carriers.

Second, pick a number that suits you and your company image. Select one that will be easily remembered. A series of letters, or similar numbers, are easier to remember than random numbers. Tollfreenumber.ORG has one of the largest selections of 800 numbers and their professional team will help you choose the right ones.

When including your 800 numbers on your business cards, brochures, website, and in ads, a name or easy-to-remember series of numbers is your best bet. Make it easy for your customers to contact you by including a memorable word or phrase in your toll-free number. Vanity numbers are 14 times easier to remember than a string of numbers.

Then, add these numbers as many places as you can think of. Repetition is key. Toll free numbers can be one of the most effective marketing tools available. Use them to your advantage by staying in control of your number.

Do You Want To Transfer Your Number?

If you are unhappy with your toll free phone service, remember you have the ability to transfer your service to another carrier in an easy and affordable way that doesn’t compromise your incoming calls or result in any downtime.

To protect owners of 1-800 numbers, the Federal Communications Commission enacted regulations that make them portable—you have the ability to “port” your existing number to another carrier and to another location.

Always be certain to deal with a company that allows you to transfer if you are unhappy with the service or the quality of the calls. If you get locked into a long contract, you risk being forced to tolerate substandard toll free phone service.

If you own your toll free number, you should never be told you can’t take your number with you—you do in fact have the ability to transfer that precise number to another carrier. Don’t be fooled by carriers who tell you otherwise.

If you sign up for full ownership of your number you will be able to retain your preferred number indefinitely. However, if you sign up for a lease, you may end up losing your number if you decide to switch carriers. Ownership is the safer option.

When making the transfer to a company like Tollfreenumber.ORG, they take care of the entire switch-over for you…they deal with your old carrier, handle all the particulars and you will never lose any calls. Your number stays active, it remains yours and the transfer is made seamlessly without disruption to your staff or your customers.
